As a Math Solutions Expert, I’ve spent 20 years coaching teenagers out of the rut I used to call my math life.

I’m Deidre (dee-dra) Simpson, and math was the bane of my existence until I was 14. My mother couldn’t help me with my math. Once I got mine straight, I helped my younger siblings with theirs.

Over time, that expanded to helping classmates, coworkers, and anyone who requested my expertise. I was introduced to STEM via aviation, engineering, and automation.

As a parent who waded through math, that gave me experience with various types of schools. There are many options for parents and children, and they all share the same goal–-to successfully educate kids and launch their careers.
